Early season greetings

You may not know that. In sabah, just say sandakan, we have churches and temples more than mosques. It is enough to prove that, people here mostly are Christians or Buddhists. During the week of christmas, we have choir singing christmas carols from house to house. Just to bring the christmas joy to the people. Today, we had a young man giving a pack of raw noodles at the door, saying its s gift from god. Well, he is the church person, giving out brochures about their church christmas function, the pack of noodle just the top-up of it. But you sure will feel the happiness right, getting a pack of noodle for free.

The christmas decoration and the people gathered in front of the majlis perbandaran sandakan to watch the christmas performance joined by few different branches of church. Everyone is given a candle to hold throughtout the performance.

Got the free santa hat. Christmas greetings from my cousins and friends. Took while walking along the beach at harbour square. Newly renovated.

Of course, don't forget the owner of this blog, ME!

wishes everyone, a very Merry Christmas and has prosperous year ahead.
Happy new year and welcome the 2009!!!

hohohohohohoho

stunning pose. hehe. =)

oh and also happy winter festival! eat tang yuan!
mai tang yuan. mai tang yuan. zhe li de tang yuan shi yuan you tian.~~

Feed the animals.

you know, those samba place, has samba dogs. Here we say samba dogs are those KL people say tu gou, soil dog. direct translation. haha. The bitch, as in female dog, gave birth to the puppies, then let the nature nurtures her babies. tian sheng tian yang.

We, cant manage to provide them shelther from rain and hot sun, but we are kind enough to give them food. triple per day. they will eat the same like what we eat, leftover. For sure 1 plate of pork, 1 plate of chicken, 1 plate of fish, 1 plate of veggie, and soup. Every meal. Chinese cooking style. Although 3/4 of the mill workers are indonesians and kampung people. most of them are christians. I am the only chinese girl at the mill *emphasizing*

back to the story. when the tukang masak bringing out the baldi full of human being's trash, the doggies will happily hopping here and there waiting for her to pour that baldi of food to the mangkuk. half broken grease container. The special phenomenon is, the sequence. The sequence of the dogs for enjoying that bowl of Treasures of them. I find it very funny. If any of them made it wrong, they will have a great dog fight. Rolling on the floor.

Firstly. the evil black dog. None of them even the other adult dogs, dare to go near him while he is eating. He eats all the nicest one.

then the male adult dog's turn. i suspect he is the father of all the puppies. because he is only male yellow adult male dog among those dogs. hehe. obviously. zzzZ

the puppies come after their father. there are 4 puppies, but one of them are white while the others are yellow. the yellows always boycotts the white. no politics k. they have a small body but big tummy. thanks to the nutrition gave by us.

Some of them. Such as the bitches, take a quick peak at the bowl, pick the nicest, biggest one, quickily hide under some shade, then happily enjoy chewing that piece of meat.

After the dogs. Then the roosters. Im not sure what left inside the bowl. but i see the rooster keep cucuking the bowl. eating their relatives. when they grow up, we eat them, their youngster eat our leftover, them. this circulation is ewwwwwwwww.

last consumer, the sparrow. eating the sisa left by the dogs and roosters.

no wonder all of them are so well built and healthy. Especially, the chickens, i always see the chicken meal on the table, the meat are few inches thick. Juicy juicy. Forget about what they eat la k.

life at the mill.

Dadadada.....
Finally i get down from the factory and having a day off at downtown. Had a very boring days at mill factory, finally my aunt bring me here, Jesselton cafe, to get connected. Of course, you have to pay at least a cup of drink to enjoy the speedy wifi here. You cant believe, this is not a starbucks, but prices are similar. Live in my hometown, not cheap anymore.

Just a brief on my work place. the palm oil mill. oil extracting factory.

Blogspot messed up the arrangement of the pictures posted. haizzZz start from the back then.

I work at the lab. My work is to control and maintain the palm oil quality by doing experiment the samples occasionally. Also have to calculate the oil losses in the end product or by product at the end of process by doing experiment on the samples too.

That is the signs found from the lab. But seems nobody following the rules. those kampung boys handle the chemicals bare handed. my god. they could have burnt their figures someday. because we are dealing with iso-octane, hexane, sulphuric acid, isopropyl alchohol, this and that, highly corrosive chemicals, still they do every experiment with unproper utensils and their measurements have never be accurate or precised. BUT of course i have to tell something good in the report that i have to submit by the end of the training la.
I insisted to at least wear hand gloves while doing the experiment, don't care how people at me, but i just want to take care of my health and handle the chemicals carefully and safely.

The first few days, i had been assigned to only observe people on how to do the testings, while no testings undergoing, then i had been given few files to analysia the production plant by myself. Because, most of the workers they are foreigeners, they did not get proper education on the process and all, so the explanation is not that clear, i have to read, analyse and take note by myself. But some of them like the chief could explain more to me if he is free. Sometimesssss

That is the lab. Stinky, full of palm oil smell.

another angle of the lab

this is where i live. single room with a single bed and facilitated with air con, without remote control. VERY VERY COLD at night. Broken ceiling fan under the bed.

my work time is from 7am to 6pm. Back to room, continue watching the series i have in hand.

I listen and speak malay the most in my life. so little of them understand english or either chinese. feel the difficulty in communicating. but i will try to overcome it. Since malay is the main bahasa in malaysia. time to learn back my malay skill. hehe.

til then. next update would be hmmmmm not sure when will i be going downtown again.
ta~

4 more weeks to go.

Here is the starting point.

What a terrible week i had.

Monday. Went to the clinic for medical checkup for applying Australia student visa. Tested I have very high blood pressure. Need to be referred to the cardiologist for further checking.

Tuesday. Start controlling diet and do more exercise. It helps abit on reducing the blood pressure.

Wednesday. Awal-awal pagi reach Taman Desa medical centre met up with the cardiologist, the documents brought was not completed, rushed back to the clinic near klcc, and then ran back to Pantai hospital to meet the same cardiologist, but was assigned to come again on thursday afternoon.

Thursday. Went to Pantai hospital in the afternoon. Wore the 24-hours blood pressure monitor watch on wrist. To rent that thing cost me RM390!!! Damnnn.

Friday. Surrender that watch. Result showed I have high blood presssure during the day and even when sleeping. Serious case. Now on medication. Need to reduce weight and blood pressure in 2 months time. Back home check email, found out my student visa had need approved. I wonder why, because the clinic supposed to wait for my cardiologist report before sending off my application to australia high comm.

Saturday. Went back to Pantai hospital again to do the blood test and urine test. Then submitted cardiologist report back to the clinic. I heard the nurses squeaking there that my incomplete application forms had been sent to australia high comm. They made mistake. Wow now i know why. Well im happy because my visa is apporved.

Right after the blood test, after 14 hours of fasting, straight away indulged myself with this Starbucks X'mas special drink. To maintain low calories, i shared with sis and mum.

Toffee Frap.

actually there are lots more to update about life. singapore trip, jogoya buffet 50% for ladies, abandoned puppy again, my boy new fur cut, and more and more. guess all those have to wait until i come back in 1 month+ only post them up bah. unless internet connection is available. =)

Here is my address as some of you requested for.

No.7, Block I,
Taman Wemin,
Mile 5,
Jalan Labuk,
90000 Sandakan,
Sabah.

IF im not mistaken with my grandma's home address. haha.

My mum keeps want me to bring this and that. "you never live in san ba you never know how the environment would be, bring yada yada yada......" Just 72 miles away from downtown, it should be fine. I now have to carry an overweight (>15kg) trolley bag, a laptop backpack, and handbag. all of them full with things. My god. I can predict the bags i will be bringing to australia next year.

Propose to be back a week before chinese new year. Need to review by the cardiologist. Tata all. muaxxxxXxxx
